Follow First Light Couriers

To ensure safe and secure delivery, follow these package rules which emphasize proper labeling, secure packaging with cushioning, and using appropriate boxes, with the goal of preventing damage and ensuring efficient tracking.

Here's a breakdown of the key rules:

1. Proper Labeling:

  • Clear and Accurate:
Ensure all labels are legible and contain the correct sender and recipient information.
  • Fragile Items:
If your package contains fragile items, label it clearly with "Fragile", "Handle with Care", or "This way up" stickers on all sides.
  • Void Filler:
Use void filler like brown paper, foam peanuts or bubble wrap to prevent items from shifting and colliding during transit.

2. Secure Packaging:

  • Wrap Items Individually:
Wrap each item separately with bubble wrap or other cushioning materials to prevent damage.
  • Use Strong Packaging Tape:
Use strong packaging tape to securely close the parcel.
  • Choose the Right Box or Flyer bag:
Select a box that is appropriate for the size and weight of the items being shipped.
  • Double Box:
Consider double-boxing shipments for added protection, especially for fragile or valuable items.
  • Protect from Moisture:
If necessary, protect products from moisture damage by adding silica gel to the parcel.

3. Other Important Considerations:

  • Don't Overstuff Your Box: Ensure there's enough space for cushioning and prevent items from shifting.
  • Secure Heavy Items: Secure heavy items in place to prevent them from shifting and potentially damaging other items.
  • Use High-Quality Boxes: Use high-quality cardboard boxes for added durability.
  • Zipper bags: Use plastic zipper bags for small items.
  • Using our online services: If using First Light Courier online, familiarize yourself with its features for waybill pre-printing, distribution, and tracking.
  • Tracking: Use the First Light Courier tracking system to monitor your package's journey.
  • Sending highly valuable or fragile items: try avoid sending items of this nature to avoid loss or damage

4.6 The Client warrants that goods tendered to the Company are adequately packed and prepared for transport.

4.7 The Company shall not in any circumstances be liable for the scratching, cracking, denting, chipping, bruising or breakage or other loss or damage to inadequately packed goods handed to the Company for transport.
